             Silver Mountains Vineyards - crush 2005

Vineyard Report: Vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains are readying for harvest.  As of mid-August veraison is in full swing and many vineyards are netting.  Other than the extreme heat spell in July this summer has overall been very cool for the coastal vineyards, as the maritime fog layer is higher than usual.  Harvest will start in some vineyards with Pinot Noir in mid-September.
